3D printed wheel adapters on the schoolhouse signs

The Cranberry Township Historical Society will have a display at Cranberry Township Maker Faire on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The CTHS display will showcase various museum tech used in the displays at the Cranberry Township History Center. This will include CAD design, 3D printing, programming in Basic with the Picaxe Editor and in Python with PyCharm on Windows and Idle on Linux, the breadboard proof of concept electronics to operate the relief map LED array, running the map tour with a Raspberry PI B3, using radar for power conservation on the relief map display tour and contextual operations on the model railroad display based on where the viewer is standing, plus a hands-on demo of using one shift register to control 8 LEDs via push buttons. The wheel adapters that connect the wheel to the legs of the 'school open' signs were designed by Roy Wagner by measuring the sign legs,  an 80 mm inline hockey skate wheel and attaching hardware, then designing an object to connect one to the other and printing the object. The white adapter was then spray painted to match the Cranberry on the sign.
