The rear of the Depreciation Land surveys contain information about the first purchaser. In this case, that is Moses Bartram, a real estate investor who purchased many Depreciation Lands certificates from Revolutionary War soldiers, whom of which the certificates were originally intended.
At this time, the land was part of Westmoreland County.
