Crider's Corners

Crider's Corners is named after Jacob Crider who purchased land in the southeast corner of the Pittsburgh Mercer Road and Mars Road, as seen in the extract from the Cranberry Township map of 1874 shown below.

The Pittsburgh Mercer Road is now Dutilh Road, thus if you stand in Burger King's parking lot by the CTHS historical marker and look southeast, you would be looking at the Crider farm. Below is an example of a Sprint phone bill showing that even in 2016, the name Crider's Corners is still in use.
